On a hot Saturday afternoon guest speaker USAF LT Col Travis Wofford shared an amazing account of just one of the many rescue missions he participated in while serving with the 37th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron stationed in DaNang, South Vietnam.
A fun crowd gathered early to enjoy hamburgers and hotdogs cooked on our 52 Jeep “Hot Mess Haul” and listen to music by “Credence Revelation” before moving upstairs into our Jensen Even Center.
The music and grilling started at 12:00 noon then continuing until the 2:00 p.m. Tables and chairs placed in the breezeway at the front of the museum made for a cool and comfortable shaded area to enjoy the food.
Free admission to the museum and the cool air conditioned gallery made for a very nice afternoon of touring our extensive exhibit and display cases.
At 2:00 p.m. everyone moved upstairs into the Jensen Event Center for the beginning of this year’s program.
