November 11, 2017 Parade In Chehalis at 1:00 p.m. Celebration Dinner 4:00 p.m. at the Museum.
We were privileged to join together with the Lewis County Veterans Parade Committee and the City of Chehalis to bring Veterans Day parades back to Chehalis, WA.
Our Director, Chip Duncan and the Board of Directors began planning months ago for a special celebration of the museum’s 20th anniversary. Our celebration included a Veterans Day Parade including 80 registered participants, including veterans organizations, the Patriot Guard Riders, the Brother in Arms motorcycle group and the support of many community organizations. It was a cold, windy and sometimes rainy day, but we were blessed with dry skies during the preparation and the entire parade. A good sized crowd of spectators helped support our efforts and many expressed their thanks for our efforts.
Later a special program and BBQ dinner at the museum completed the days festivities.
