Desert War Veterans Remembrance Day with Taya Kyle

Desert War Veterans Remembrance Day with Taya Kyle

What a great day we had July 29th with Taya Kyle, wife of Chris Kyle “American Sniper” at our recent Desert War Veterans Recognition Day. Taya spent most of the afternoon sharing with each individual who came to have a book signed, then later spoke to an audience of over 300.

  • Taya Kyle, a best selling author and accomplished national speaker on veterans issues, spent the afternoon greeting, signing books and taking photographs with about 350 visitors to the museum. We couldn’t have asked for a more gracious person to be our special guest and speaker. It was amazing to watch as for nearly three hours she stood and met each person who came through the reception line. Later she shared what her husband Chris told her as he would greet people, “If they stood for hours in line just to see me, it’s the very least I should do for them”. Obviously, Taya is cut from the same cloth.

  • In the evening, speaking to an audience of over 300, Taya spoke from her heart for over 30 minutes, never once looking at a note. She shared about her religion, patriotism and continuing Chris’ mission to help veterans.

If Taya is ever in your area, don’t miss the opportunity to meet this dynamic person and hear her message.
